U6-U10 Seasonal Teams FAQs
1. Can I wait to register for a Spring team?
Waiting to register may result in losing your spot with your current coach and teammates. We encourage early registration to secure your place on the roster.
2. Can I change teams?
If a player wishes to change teams, they can register for our Winter Training Academy. During this program, players will be evaluated by Western WA Surf staff to determine the best placement for the Spring season.
3. What is the Spring season training schedule?
Training days, times, and locations are currently unavailable due to city and school district field allocations, which occur on a 3-month cycle. We strive to maintain consistent training days each season, but times and locations may vary based on availability.
4. Do you offer scholarships?
Yes, we provide financial aid. Players interested in applying can fill out our financial aid form for consideration.
5. How often do premier teams practice?
Premier teams typically practice twice a week at their designated locations.
6. What leagues do these age groups play in?
- U6 to U8 teams participate in the Junior Development League (JDL).
- U9 and U10 teams compete in the WPL Development League.
7. Is there a uniform requirement?
New players are required to purchase a uniform. Returning players do not need to buy a new uniform if they already have one.
