We are thrilled to announce Neko Young as the newest addition to our Surf team, stepping in as the Director of our Snohomish location!

A true force in the world of soccer, Neko Young hails from Anchorage, Alaska, where his passion for the game was ignited. His journey is nothing short of inspiring: from his collegiate soccer days at Chemeketa/Shasta Community College to wrapping up his stellar career at Cal State Stanislaus, where he not only excelled on the field but also began his journey as a coach.

Neko’s coaching prowess truly shines through his diverse experiences. From leading teams like the East Valley Earthquakes to coaching varsity high school soccer at Enoch’s High School, he’s left an indelible mark at every step. His dedication to the sport and community was further evident as he founded and directed his own recreational soccer league in Riverbank, a testament to his commitment to grassroots development.

Recognized for his exceptional coaching abilities, Neko was appointed Director of Coaching for the San Jose Earthquakes affiliate, where he honed his leadership skills for five remarkable years.

With an impressive resume and boundless enthusiasm, Neko’s journey led him to Surf, where he’s made an undeniable impact coaching with Valley Surf. His involvement with the Surf Select and NorCal Select Programs further underscores his dedication to nurturing talent and fostering excellence.

As we embark on this exciting new chapter, we couldn’t be more thrilled to have Neko Young at the helm of our Snohomish location. His wealth of experience, unwavering passion, and commitment to player development make him the perfect fit to lead our team to new heights.
